From the sellers...
It was the right time for us to move, but this West Seattle house was utterly perfect for thirty years. Here are some things we have loved:
For a time, we had two fully functioning home offices on different floors—one of us could be on the phone, listening to music, or whatever without disturbing the other. After-hours and when we retired those same spaces provided arts and crafts studio space.
The home theater, built to acoustical specifications, allows you to lose yourself in sound.
It has good storage with lots of built in cupboards and bookshelves, two walk-in closets, and the insulated heatable storeroom downstairs. (My bathroom was large enough and bright enough to iron in, even.)
We maxed out the covered deck in the trees, even using it as an office in the summer taking breaks to watch birds at the feeders and in the fountain. We used the deck in cooler weather too by setting up a tabletop patio heater.
There’s a gas fireplace in the living room to ward off those foggy chills day or night. We even rearrange our furniture in the winter to make the most of it at certain times of year. Sunday mornings - perfect.
Another warmth bonus feature: the hot water heater has a circulating timer, so it’s hot on your schedule. You don’t have to wait. (I miss it every day.)
It’s 8-9 blocks from the Alaska Junction’s shops and the year round Farmer's Market. It is a nice walk, including a couple blocks of hill for cardio! Of course it’s also just two blocks from the beautiful new elementary school, playground, and playfields.
It’s been dreamy. And we wish the new owners the very best!
