Five years ago we walked through our “Dream House” and thought how magical it would be to live in this beautiful space. With 4 offers (2 were cash) we were almost in shock to find out the builder chose us. Our dream came true!

From day one, we were blown away by how many neighbors dropped by with cookies to welcome us. Over the next few months we discovered more wonders: the friendly owners of the 76 station, chic new restaurants, the Sunday farmers market. Our neighborhood love affair took off from there. The local schools (within walking distance) help create a sense of family. Every December our neighbors host a caroling party; in August we rock the night with our block party. We love feeling at home with our neighbors.

We think the home speaks for itself: natural light, water and mountain views, and outdoor spaces. We added a front deck in 2016 surrounded by clumping lucky Bamboo. This new West-facing sanctuary has become the ideal gathering place to enjoy sunsets over the Olympics. The builder nested this modern home into 50 year old trees and established gardens--the fruit-bearing Asian pear tree, Corkscrew hazelnut, large blooming Witch Hazel tree, white lilac, and Camelia bushes. Our magnificent Asian maple creates an umbrella over the back deck and makes the master bath feel like a treehouse.

Our family is on to a new adventure in Bend, Oregon. There is no other Seattle neighborhood we would have preferred. It’s an oasis. We will leave a big part of our heart here. We hope you love our home and this 45th street family as much as we have!
