From the sellers...

Welcome to “The Swaus”—the affectionate name we neighbors call our Austin Street community. This was our first home in Seattle. We purchased it from a couple that raised their boys here. It felt loved!

We loved the flow of the house, especially three bedrooms on one level. Three bathrooms have been more than handy as our family grew. The downstairs entertainment area also doubled as a great private guest suite when family visited.

Over the years we made updates—removing the 80’s chandeliers, installing hardwoods, piping natural gas for cozy family nights in front of the fireplace. We updated wall colors and renovated the kitchen (especially loving the move from laminate to quartz counters). We planted special trees each year our sons were born.

The neighborhood is filled with friendly people who look out for each other. We spent days at Lincoln Park throwing rocks, biking along the trails, and paddle boarding. Our doors were open all summer, as kids and their friends ran through. We treasured the proximity to West Seattle’s fantastic hubs.

Our kids grew, life got busy. We work on the east side and it was time to move on. We can still hear the laughter and feel the happiness that made this house home. We hope the next owners will love it too!
