When I settled into this condo, I settled in to stay—expecting I’d be here for many years. When I remodeled, I enjoyed making every choice, whether it was the unique tile around the fireplace, the industrial fixtures, removing texture from the walls, or the bathroom designs that I especially love.
I’m moving on earlier than expected due to another opportunity, but not without tons of amazing memories from Yale Place. I think what I’ll miss the most is hosting friends and family and the amazing views—especially for Fourth of July and New Years Eve celebrations. It’s an ideal spot for parties and celebrations, with tons of space for everything from game nights to watching the fireworks over Lake Union.
One of my most recent updates was the flex room in the basement, which I converted into a COVID-friendly workout space and sports/storage room. Things are going back to normal now, but I’ve long since gotten rid of my gym membership! I never got around to buying my own paddle board, but hopefully the next resident will. (Just in case there are several rental spots just up the road).
I’ve come to know the staff at Little Water Cantina and Pazzo’s and 14 Carrot Café well—Eastlake is an awesome little community that’s friendly and tight-knit.
