From the seller...

My parents bought this house in the early 1970s and I spent almost my entire childhood here. I went to Arbor Heights Elementary and learned to ride a bike on the quiet side streets. My extended family lived in West Seattle and we squeezed 13 of us around improvised tables every Thanksgiving.

As a kid, I loved the green space around the house. My friends and I set up forts in the yard and explored the ravine (now an official park at the end of the street). My mother was an avid gardener and puttered in the yard tending to the many varieties of rhododendron that are now in the garden. Thanks to her! Both of my parents were dedicated walkers and enjoyed doing a regular loop on Marine View Drive. This neighborhood is still great for walking and talking with neighbors.

My parents have both passed away and my family has established itself in the north Seattle. When I come back to this neighborhood I realize how much I miss being close to Puget Sound. I like the fog, the cool air, and the sound of the occasional seagull who has lost its way.

I look forward to turning this wonderful home over to a new generation to enjoy the neighborhood, ravine, and location.
